Nigerian reality TV star and actress, Bisola Aiyeola, has spoken frankly about the emotional and psychological challenges she faced when she became a single mother.
During an interview with media personality Tope Olowoniyan, the actress revealed that discovering she was pregnant outside marriage deeply unsettled her, especially given her own family background.
She explained that the situation triggered fear and shame, as her mother had also raised her as a single parent. The possibility of repeating that pattern weighed heavily on her mind, and she worried it might even extend to her own child.
“I was scared and ashamed of being pregnant and having a baby out of wedlock. I thought I was going to get married because I was engaged at that time but we never got married.
