Ibadan Explosion: Kwara Gov commiserates with Oyo Govt

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has expressed condolences to the Government of Oyo State for the tragic explosion in parts of Ibadan late Tuesday.

In a personal heartfelt statement of condolences, Governor AbdulRazaq conveyed that his thoughts and sympathies were with the good people of Oyo State during the trying time.

“I commend my brother Governor, His Excellency Seyi Makinde, and his team for the swift responses since the incident occurred.

“The incident again underlines the need for operators to adopt global best practices in mining operations and to prioritise safety at all times,” he said. 

According to him, the calls for objective probe are therefore in order to unravel what truly happened to forestall a repeat of such traumatic incident. 

“We stand by the Government and people of Oyo State as they recover from the shock of this sad incident, and pray to Almighty God to forgive the dead and wish speedy recovery for those injured in the explosion.”
