Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde has issued a passionate statement addressing criticism about his recent form and commitment to the club.
The Uruguayan admitted he has endured difficult matches but strongly rejected suggestions that he avoids responsibility or shies away from challenges.
Valverde explained that he has always confronted criticism head-on, even when performances have fallen short. He insisted that, despite setbacks, he has consistently given everything on the pitch, often playing through injuries and discomfort without complaint.
His declaration comes at a time when questions over his role and influence have dominated discussions among fans and the media.

“I will never give up”
At the heart of his message was a reminder of the sacrifices he has made in service of Real Madrid. Valverde stressed that he has played fractured, injured, and under constant physical strain, but never asked to be excused. He believes such sacrifices prove his commitment to the club and his teammates.
Furthermore, the midfielder admitted that results and performances do not always match his ambitions, but he vowed to fight until the end. “I swear on my pride that I will never give up,” he said.
While Valverde acknowledged his shortcomings in form, he called for recognition of his dedication, resilience, and unrelenting effort.
