Popular singer Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, has admitted to undergoing treatment at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta, while appealing to Nigerians and the Ogun State Government after being declared wanted by the police.
The Ogun State Police Command had launched a manhunt for Portable following allegations that he led a gang to attack three officials from the state’s Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development during an enforcement exercise in Ota.
The officials claimed they were assaulted after encountering the singer’s father while requesting an approved building plan.
According to the police, Portable, along with nine others, allegedly inflicted injuries on the officials before they managed to escape and report the incident. While his alleged accomplices were arrested, Portable reportedly fled the scene.

Reacting to the police declaration, the singer took to Instagram in a series of rants, claiming he was being targeted because he wore a vest featuring the face of Senator Adeola Solomon, popularly known as Yayi.
In his appeal, he also addressed concerns about his mental health, stating: “I fear government. I am a federal government liability. Then I’m a madman; I have medications that I usually take. You can confirm from Aro Hospital. I have a card that certifies me as one of their patients.”
Portable further insisted that he was not a criminal but someone who helps those around him without discrimination.
