First Lady Remi Tinubu has asserted that she is not afraid of death, stating that she is over 60 years old.

Her response came in reaction to Governor Bala Mohammed’s recent comments about threats to her life.

As reported by NAN and shared on President Tinubu’s media aide Bayo Onanuga’s Twitter handle on March 13, the First Lady expressed gratitude to Governor Mohammed for assuring her safety but firmly stated her lack of fear due to her advanced age.

ā€œI want to thank the Bauchi State governor for assuring me that I am safe, but I want to say that I am too old to be afraid. If God has granted me more than 60 years on earth, I shouldnā€™t be afraid of death,” said the First Lady.

She went on to express gratitude for the encouragement to attend the event and emphasized the need for unity in Nigeria.

“I thank God that you encouraged me to come and I want to say that Nigeria belongs to all of us. This is the time for us to unite more than ever before,” she added.
