Super Falcons star Ashleigh Plumptre has undergone surgery following a foot injury. Her club, Al Ittihad Ladies, confirmed the procedure was successful.
However, the defender will be sidelined for several months, with the latest development marking another frustrating interruption in her career.
The injury adds to a growing list of setbacks since her move from Leicester City WFC. She previously spent six months out after a serious injury in 2024.

Before that setback, Plumptre had impressed early. She scored eight goals in just 12 appearances.
