The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has ordered the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) to fast-track and conclude the ongoing data upload of applicants’ information for the recruitment into the nation’s paramilitary agencies.
The directive comes after several applicants expressed frustration over their inability to monitor their application progress or confirm their status weeks after completing various stages of the recruitment process.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Friday, the Minister acknowledged the delays and attributed them to the ongoing data upload process.
He stated: “Following recent complaints from applicants into the paramilitary agencies who are still unable to determine their fate due to the ongoing upload of information, I have directed the Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board to ensure that all uploads are completed immediately.”

The CDCFIB had earlier announced on Thursday that applicants could begin checking their recruitment status from Friday. However, many users reported encountering technical issues on the portal.
Some applicants said the website became unresponsive after they entered their login details, while others claimed their dashboards displayed different job categories from the ones they applied for.
Several applicants also lamented that their names were missing from the portal altogether. Many others posted similar screenshots highlighting the portal’s malfunction and their inability to proceed to the next phase of the recruitment.
Recall that about 1.9 million applicants are competing for approximately 30,000 available positions across the four paramilitary services.
