The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) has designated Osun State as its South-West Zonal Headquarters.
Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, made this announcement in a statement on Tuesday.
He stated that the ITF management disclosed this decision to Dapo Ademola-Adesina, the Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Technical and Vocational Education, during a meeting on Monday.
Kolapo noted that during a courtesy visit to the agency on 30 May, Dapo proposed a collaborative effort with the Osun State Board for Technical and Vocational Education.

This collaboration Kolapo said aims to enhance Vocational and Skill Training, promote Skill-Up Artisans (SUPA), and implement the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).
According to Kolapo, the proposal has proven successful, as Dr. Afiz Oluwatoyin Ogun, the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Industrial Training Fund, dispatched a team to inspect various vocational training sites in Osun State on August 13, 2024.
