Brentford striker Ivan Toney has joined Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ahli, subject to international clearance.
Brentford had received a bid in the region of £40m for Toney earlier on Friday. The transfer was ultimately confirmed in the wee hours of Saturday morning.
“It’s been a pleasure to work with Ivan over the last four years,” said Brentford boss Thomas Frank.

“He has averaged more than one goal every two games, which is an unbelievable number.
“On the pitch, he has been a fantastic goalscorer, link-up player and leader. He has pushed the team, the squad and himself.”
Frank added: “Ivan leaves as a Brentford legend.”
The lanky striker will join an already fearsome attack that includes former Premier League stars Roberto Firmino and Riyad Mahrez.
Toney was part of England’s squad at Euro 2024. His three appearances at the tournament in Germany were all from the bench, including in the final where they lost to Spain.
The 28-year-old netted from the spot in the shootout win over Switzerland.
Throughout the 2022-23 Premier League campaign, Toney scored 20 goals. He then found the back of the net four times in his first five matches last term. This was after he returned from an eight-month ban for breaching FA betting rules.
However, he was omitted from interim England manager Lee Carsley’s squad ahead of September’s UEFA Nations League matches. England announced the official squad on Thursday.
The striker leaves Brentford having scored 72 goals in 141 appearances.
Toney has made six appearances and scored once for the Three Lions.
