Nigerian actress, Iyabo Ojo has criticized Nigerians and fans of late singer-songwriter, Mohbad who are demanding that a DNA test should be carried out on his son, Liam to confirm his paternity.

The Nigerian thespian mentioned that people who are demanding a paternity test are insensitive and should allow Mohbad’s widow, Omowunmi to mourn the demise of her husband in peace.

It would be recalled that Mohbad was pronounced dead on Tuesday, September 12 after suffering from an alleged ear infection.

The circumstances pertaining to his demise has been controversial.

Iyabo Ojo responded, calling the requests for a DNA test ā€œinsensitive,ā€ in a video posted on her Instagram page.

She said,

ā€œAll these distractions of DNA test, you people should please allow Mohbadā€™s family to mourn. If Mohbadā€™s parents want a DNA test, they can request it. You and I donā€™t have the right to tell them to do a DNA test.

Mohbad never told anyone that his son wasnā€™t his son. But if the officers investigating his death feel there is a need to conduct a DNA test, they will. We need to be very sensitive, please. Why are you guys bullying the poor lady [Mohbadā€™s wife]? Leave her alone.ā€
