The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the accreditation process for computer-based test (CBT) centres ahead of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
In a statement issued on Sunday, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB spokesperson, explained that CBT centres which participated in the 2024 UTME without issues should register their interest via the boardās centre management system (CMS) portal.
Benjamin also advised new centres interested in participating in the 2025 UTME to visit JAMBās official website for detailed requirements for setting up an approved CBT centre.
āFollowing this, these centres should notify the board in writing of their intention to participate in the accreditation exercise,ā the statement said.

The notification must be addressed to the JAMB registrar through the zonal director or state coordinator in the respective states. JAMBās zonal and state offices will assist new centres by creating CMS portal accounts to facilitate their registration.
āAll centres must conduct an autobot/autotest on a date that will be communicated to them, as part of their preparation for the physical accreditation visit by the boardās team,ā the statement added.
Benjamin emphasized that the autobot/autotest is mandatory, noting that only centres that successfully complete the test and meet the required criteria will proceed to the physical accreditation stage.
āCentres that do not achieve satisfactory results on the autobot/autotest will not be revisited,ā he warned.
Centres that pass all the necessary stages will be approved and included in the 2025 UTME registration and examination process.
