The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has outlined the essential requirements for candidates registering for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE). The registration officially commenced on Monday, February 3.
JAMB emphasized that all candidates must have a valid National Identification Number (NIN), which is now a mandatory prerequisite for registration. According to the board, candidates must generate a JAMB Profile Code by sending an SMS with āNIN [space] 11-digit NIN numberā to 55019 or 66019.
The board explained that this Profile Code is required to purchase the JAMB ePIN from authorized banks, online platforms, and USSD services before completing registration at an accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre.
“Candidates applying for UTME must have a minimum of five credit passes in their OāLevel results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE), including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings,” JAMB stated.
