The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has fixed Saturday, June 28, 2025, for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up test.
This exercise is for candidates who could not take part in the main exam due to issues such as biometric verification problems and absence during the first and rescheduled exams.
According to the board, a total of 96,838 candidates are expected to take part in the mop-up across 183 centres nationwide.
Out of this number, 5,096 are those who were carried over from previous sessions, while 91,742 missed either the original or the resit exams.
From Monday, June 23, candidates are expected to start printing their notification slips in preparation for the test.
JAMB also reminded all candidates that the first session will begin by 8:00 am, and they are advised to arrive at their centres an hour before the exam starts.
In a related move, JAMB has removed 113 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres from its system over technical failures and cases of exam malpractice.
Investigations are ongoing, and any centre found guilty will face legal action.
The board stated that some centres were part of larger malpractice networks, which involved tutorial centres, school owners, and a few officials working with the board.
Some of the affected candidates who were earlier assigned to centres in now-deactivated towns will be reassigned to new centres close to their original locations.
JAMB also warned that impersonators, especially those already in higher institutions, could be expelled for violating their matriculation oath and may face legal consequences under the Examination Malpractice Act of 1999.
The board said institutions of such students will be informed for appropriate disciplinary actions.
