Jandor dumps PDP

Former Lagos governorship candidate, Abdulazeez ‘Jandor’ Adediran, has parted ways with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a personally signed statement on Monday, Adediran revealed that he hoped for reforms within the party but, after a prolonged wait with no positive changes, he chose to exit.

Jandor further noted that during this period, he observed that those who actively opposed the party during the elections are now the ones in control at the top.

“How do we trust the same people again in the next election cycle and how do we forgive those who are not sorry for their misdeeds? After deep reflection and extensive consultations with my family, political associates, and supporters, we have made the difficult decision to resign from the Peoples Democratic Party.

“Our commitment to the people of Lagos remains unwavering. We will continue to advocate for policies and initiatives that will uplift our state, regardless of our political affiliation. Moving forward, we will be engaging with stakeholders and well-meaning Nigerians to determine the next course of action that best serves the interests of Lagosians”, Jandor said.

He expressed gratitude to his supporters for standing firmly by his vision to bring a new approach to governance in Lagos.

Jandor added that stepping down was not a conclusion but the start of a fresh phase— dedicated to turning collective dreams into reality.
