JMG Limited has installed hybrid solar power systems at three NIPCO Plc fuel stations in Nigeria, achieving significant cost savings and operational reliability.
The stations, located in Gwagwalada and Mpape in Abuja, as well as Lekki in Lagos, now run primarily on clean energy.
Each system integrates high-efficiency solar panels, lithium battery storage, and smart inverters, ensuring a 24/7 power supply.
The setups support fuel dispensing pumps, LPG facilities, lighting, and administrative operations without interruptions.
Stations report zero reliance on grid electricity or diesel generators during most operating hours.

Combined annual generation across the sites reaches 88,535 kWh, delivering N44.4 million in yearly savings for NIPCO.
The installations reduce CO₂ emissions by 43.8 tonnes annually while eliminating diesel dependency.
Completed between May and June 2025, the projects cover 80 to 100 per cent of daily energy demand.
Abbass Hussein, Head of JMG’s Hybrid Solar Division, stated that the scalable systems provide silent, uninterrupted power and demonstrate viable clean energy transitions for fuel retail sectors.
NIPCO Station Manager Idoko Jacob confirmed full solar coverage on clear days, with minimal generator backup needed during poor weather.
These hybrid solutions promote sustainable energy adoption in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum industry, combining environmental benefits with substantial financial gains.
