Overview of News Round The Clock (NRTC) Undergraduate Internship

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of News Round The Clock. The management and board of NRTC are rolling out a 60-Day Internship programme specifically targeted at providing work experience for Nigerian undergraduates. Shortlisted candidates will have passion for journalism have good eyes for details. Ideally, they would be interested in a career in the media industry. Our global team of experienced journalists and media professionals will provide on the job training to beneficiaries who will be selected on merit.

Essential Criteria

  • You must be age 21 and above
  • You must be an undergraduate from any Nigerian Institution of higher learning
  • You must be studying towards a course in media studies, mass communication or related fields.

Desirable Criteria

  • Have experience of writing and having work published 
  • Involved with a student newspaper, magazine or local media outlet

Key Dates & Things you need to know about NRTC Journalism Internship

  • The internship programme is scheduled to be rolled out on June 01, when interested candidates will be able to apply
  • The closing date for applicants would be on the 31st of July 2022
  • Sifting and shortlisting  will be carried out throughout August 2022 as we expect a high turnover of applications.
  • Fifteen (15) shortlisted candidates will be notified, and announced on the 1st of September 2022 and will be expected to attend an interview shortly afterwards, for a more in-depth discussion about their experience and suitability
  • Ten (10) successful candidates will then be selected and onboarded  to commence their internship on October 01 2022
