The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has officially released the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, NRTC can confirm.
Recall that JAMB earlier stated that candidates who sat for this year’s UTME can begin checking their scores from 9th of May, Friday morning.
Before the release, JAMB provided statistics on the performance of the 1.9 million candidates who participated in the exam.
The figures show a staggering outcome – over 1.5 million candidates scored below 200, which is considered an average benchmark.

Reacting to the performance data, the Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, said the results reflect the effectiveness of government efforts to curb examination malpractice.
“The high failure rate in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination is clear evidene that the government’s anti-malpracctice measures are yielding results, especially within the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board system,” he stated.
