The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced the sale of forms and payment for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage, with the total cost set at ₦8.5 million per pilgrim.

This was disclosed by the Executive Secretary of the Board, AbdulSalam Abdulkadir, during a press briefing in Ilorin.

Abdulkadir stated that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) set the fare and allocated 3,762 slots to Kwara State for the upcoming pilgrimage.

He urged all intending pilgrims to ensure they possess a valid international passport and complete all necessary registration processes by the designated deadline.

In a move aimed at easing the financial burden on residents, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved an initial deposit of ₦5 million for those wishing to participate in the spiritual exercise.

Intending pilgrims are required to pay the remaining balance before the final deadline of October 8, 2025.

The Executive Secretary appreciated AbdulRazaq for his commitment to ensuring a comfortable and spiritually enriching journey for all pilgrims from the state, both in Nigeria and in Saudi Arabia.
