Labour Unions meet Tinubu, resolves to suspend ongoing protest 


The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress, TUC, have resolved to suspend the ongoing nationwide protest.

This was reached after the leaders of the Union (NLC President, Comrade Joe Ajaero, and TUC, Comrade Festus Usifo) held a meeting with President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday in Abuja.

Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communications and  Strategy, Dele Alake said the Union leaders opted for further constructive engagement with the government to resolve all outstanding issues affecting the working people and Nigerians in general.

Tinubu further assured the Labour leaders that he would continue to work for the best interest of Nigeria as well as plead with them to join hands with him to birth a better and economically buoyant country.
