The Lagos State Lands Bureau has engaged residents of Ojota West in a sensitization exercise aimed at educating them on the importance of obtaining legal land titles.
The initiative, organised through the Directorate of Land Regularization, seeks to streamline land documentation and promote compliance with state regulations.
The awareness programme, held recently, was supervised by the Permanent Secretary of the Lands Bureau, Kamar Olowoshago, who was represented by the Director of Land Regularization, Olayinka Wasiu.

Addressing community members, Olayinka emphasised that proper land documentation is crucial for both the residents and the government, as it facilitates seamless development and ensures accurate record-keeping for future reference.
Commending the Lagos State Government’s efforts, the Chairman of Ojota West Community Development Association (CDA), Jamiu Talabi, expressed the community’s readiness to comply with the state’s land regularization guidelines.
He assured that residents would take the necessary steps to formalize their land ownership in line with government regulations.
The sensitization exercise is part of the Lagos State Government’s broader efforts to enhance land administration and ensure legal ownership for residents across the state.
