The Lagos State Office of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has forged a strategic partnership with HERhealthEQ, a New York-based non-profit organisation.
The partnership was to enhance maternal and child healthcare services in low-income communities across the state.
Welcoming the CEO and Founder of HERhealthEQ, Marissa Fayer, the Special Adviser on SDGs, Oreoluwa Finnih, highlighted the transformative role of technology in improving healthcare outcomes.
As part of the collaboration, HERhealthEQ has donated 10 Butterfly iQ+ handheld ultrasound devices to Lagos hospitals to boost maternal health screenings.
The Butterfly iQ+ is a handheld, whole-body imaging solution designed for point-of-care diagnostics. It facilitates obstetric assessments, maternal health evaluations, cardiac and vascular examinations, and pediatric interventions.
Finnih emphasised the importance of leveraging innovative solutions to strengthen maternal healthcare, particularly in underserved communities.
