The Lagos State College of Nursing (LASCON), Igando, has refuted claims circulating on social media about the commencement of the 2025/2026 Post-UTME Nursing admission process, warning the public to disregard the false information.
In a statement signed by the Provost, Ayodeji Ogunmuyiwa, the institution described the viral publication as fraudulent and designed by scammers to unsuspecting applicants.
“The publication is false, untrue and a figment of the imagination of fraudulent individuals scheming to scam unsuspecting members of the public,” the Provost stated.
Ogunmuyiwa stressed that LASCON had not begun the admission process for the 2025/2026 academic session, urging members of the public to remain vigilant and avoid being duped by false online claims.

She assured that the College would announce the official commencement of the admission exercise, including details of the Computer Assisted Screening (CAS), through recognised national newspapers and verified official platforms.
“For accurate and up-to-date information, the public should always contact the College directly or log on to the official website: [www.lascon.edu.ng](http://www.lascon.edu.ng) or follow the College’s official X handle @LASCONigando,” she advised.
The Provost also cautioned against making payments into any personal accounts, emphasising that all transactions should be conducted only through the College’s designated official accounts.
