Speaking during the session, Wasabi mentioned that his uncle often travel from Ibadan to scold him for failing in Mathematics and Physics. He stated that his uncle deals with him and taunts him the moment his mother reports him.

ā€œI had uncles that flogged me. I had one that travelled to flog me. He travelled for two hours from Ibadan to Oshogbo to flog me.

ā€œAt the time, I passed biology, chemistry but I failed physics. And I had stronger subjects in the art department so it was recommended that I did art. So my mum was upset I wasnā€™t taking school seriously.

ā€œShe called one of my uncles, he said donā€™t worry Iā€™ll be in Oshogbo tomorrow. I was the one that opened the gate for him, assisted him to carry his luggage from his car.

ā€œAnd he sat down, drank water and said bring you report card. He went through all the courses and said, ā€˜You failed physics, you didnā€™t do well in mathematics. Lie down there.ā€™ And I knew what my fate was then.ā€
