Nigerian-born British artiste, Oluwafisayo Isa, who is better known as Darkoo has said opening up to her parents about her sexuality lifted weight off her shoulders.

She said she has been happier since opening up to her mom about her sexuality.
“The day I told my mom [about my sexuality], it felt like a massive weight off my shoulder… I’ve been happy since then,” she said.
“Opening up to my mom and dad was a great relief. It was hard on my mom more than my dad because I’m closer to her. It was very emotional for my mom.
“My dad was not really interested in the conversation but at the end of the day, I’m living my life. And that’s what I’m doing.”
