Let’s allow Judiciary to do its job on Nnamdi Kanu – Buhari


President Muhammadu Buhari refuses to sign Electoral Amendment Bill

President Muhammadu Buhari has said he won’t interfere in the judiciary pertaining to treasonable felony trial of leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPoB), Nnamdi Kanu.

Buhari stated this in the exclusive interview with Channels Television monitored by Newsroundtheclock on Friday night[.

“I don’t interfere with the judiciary. Let’s allow the judiciary to do its job on Kanu.”

When asked if there could be a political solution to Kanu’s case, Buhari responded in affirmative.

It could be recalled that some South-East leaders had paid Buhari a courtesy visit, requesting for the release of Kanu.

Buhari had promised to consider their request.

Buhari speaks on restructuring

When asked what steps can be taken towards restructuring the country, Buhari pointed that it means different things to different people.

“Different people with different meanings of restructuring. Did they want more states or what did they want?” he asked.

Speaking on the unity of the country, Buhari stated that Nigeria will remain one.

Ahead of the 2023 election, the President said he is not interested I’m who will replace him. Thus, he is not endorsing anyone to succeed him.
