Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has celebrated Eid-el-Fitri with the Muslim community in the state as the world marks the end of a month-long period of spiritual renewal.
Sanwo-Olu on his X page on Monday called for the ongoing embrace of spirituality, peaceful coexistence, and tolerance among all religious groups.
He urged Muslims to contemplate the significance of Ramadan, emphasizing its teachings of self-discipline, prayerfulness, and submission to the will of Allah.
He said, “Today, I am delighted to celebrate Eid-el-Fitri with the Muslim community in Lagos State as we mark the end of a month-long period of spiritual renewal.

“Let us continue to uphold spirituality, peaceful coexistence, and tolerance towards all religious groups.
“Let us also embody the noble qualities of Ramadan by helping the less fortunate, expressing gratitude to Allah, and demonstrating kindness and generosity to one another. Eid Mubarak.”
