Lionel Messi has been presented with 8 gold rings after he received his 8th Ballon d’Or on Monday night.
In a series of posts by Adidas on X (formerly Twitter), each ring is said to represent each year the 36-year-old has won the Ballon d’Or.
Each ring design is different and carries details of every time he was named the Ballon d’Or award winner.

Messi won a record-extending 8th Ballon dāOr award, beating Erling Haaland (2nd) and Kylian Mbappe (3rd) to the award.
The Inter Miami star led Argentina to World Cup success in Qatar in 2022. He was the tournament’s best player. He also scored 16 goals and created 16 assists while at PSG last season.
