Defending champions Real Madrid defeated VfB Stuttgart 3-1, thanks to late goals from Antonio Rudiger and Endrick.

Weston McKennie and Nicolas Gonzalez added to the tally, while PSV’s Ismael Saibari netted a consolation goal.
Aston Villa made a triumphant return to Europe’s top competition after 41 years, beating Young Boys 3-0.
It was a momentous victory for Villa, marking their resurgence on the continental stage.
Liverpool’s strong start at San Siro
Liverpool began their Champions League campaign in style with a commanding 3-1 win over AC Milan.
Christian Pulisic’s opener for Milan was swiftly canceled out by Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, and Dominik Szoboszlai.
It was a statement win for Arne Slot’s side as they overcame Milan in front of a packed San Siro. The victory boosts their confidence as they aim to reclaim Europe’s biggest prize.
Harry Kane’s record-breaking night
Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane had a night to remember, scoring four goals in a 9-2 demolition of Dinamo Zagreb.
Kane netted three penalties and broke Wayne Rooney’s record for the most Champions League goals by an English player.
With 33 goals, Kane now leads Rooney by three in the Champions League goal charts.
Bayern’s crushing win sets the tone for their campaign as they chase a seventh European title.
Endrick’s historic moment for Real Madrid
Endrick made history by becoming Real Madrid’s youngest-ever scorer in the Champions League at 18 years and 58 days.
His late goal against Stuttgart helped secure a 3-1 win for Madrid, who are targeting back-to-back titles.
The previous record was held by Real legend Raul, who was 18 years and 113 days old. Endrick’s impressive performance on Tuesday further shows why he is not one of the brightest young talents in world football.
