Makinde reshuffles cabinet

Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde has reshuffled his cabinet.

This decision, which was communicated through a letter from his Chief of Staff, Mr. Segun Ogunwuyi, was announced on Monday, May 5, 2025.

As part of the reshuffle, Mr. Seun Ashamu, previously the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, has been assigned to lead the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.

Mr. Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, who was in charge of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, is now overseeing the Ministry of Public Works, Infrastructure, and Transport.

Professor Dahud Shangodoyin, who was serving as the Commissioner for Public Works, has now been appointed to manage the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

In addition, Professor Solihu Adelabu, who was in charge of Education, Science, and Technology, will now lead the Ministry of Establishments and Training.

Mr. Segun Olayiwola, the outgoing Commissioner for Establishments, will now oversee the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology.

These changes take effect immediately.

The governor has urged the affected commissioners to continue their work with full dedication to the state’s progress.
