Marc Bernal: Barcelona’s promising talent faces lengthy absence after devastating ACL injury

Barcelona’s rising star and fan favourite Marc Bernal is facing a significant setback after suffering an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury.

The young midfielder, who quickly became an integral part of the team, now faces months on the sidelines.

Reports confirm that 17-year-old Bernal, who limped off against late in the La Liga game against Rayo Vallecano on Tuesday, has torn his ACL. Barcelona emerged 2-1 victors during the away league clash.

According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, the ACL tear is serious, ruling Bernal out for at least a couple months. Some sources suggest that his season may already be over for the youngster, leaving Barcelona in a difficult position.
