Mavin, Don Jazzy’s record label to be put up for sale


Mavin records is home to Nigerian music superstars, Rema and Ayra Starr.

Reports reaching News Round The Clock (NRTC) reveal that Don Jazzy, the founder of the renowned label, Mavin Records is seeking investment or aiming for a full sale with bidding coming with the Universal Music Group (UMG).

According to Billboard, the Nigerian music executive is looking to build on the global success it’s had with sensational musicians, Rema and Ayra Starr.

Equally, Mavin Records is a Nigerian music corporation record label founded by record producer and recording artist Don Jazzy on 8 May 2012.

The label’s inception came to fruition following the closure of Mo’ Hits Records, a record label owned by the aforementioned producer and D’banj.

Mavin records is currently home to Rema and Ayra Starr alongside other notable musicians such as Johnny Drille, Crayon, Lifesize Teddy, Ladipoe, Boy Spyce and Magixx.

In May 2023, Don Jazzy’s Mavin turned 11. Celebrating the milestone on social media, the award-winning music executive wrote,

“My baby is 11 today. #MavinIs11 and is growing from strength to strength, breaking boundaries and impacting lives positively. All these won’t be possible without you the fans, our brand partners, friends and well wishers. Thank you for your unwavering support. You know we are just getting started
