Meet Thaddeus Attah – The Labour Party Aspirant Who Defeated BankyW


Thaddeus Attah is a Nigerian businessman and politician who originally hails from Benue State.

Thaddeus Attah won the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, winning with a total of 24,075 votes and defeating popular celebrity, Mr. Olubankole Wellington (Banky W) of the Peopleā€™s democratic party (PDP) in the 2023 elections.

INEC Returning Officer – Professor Funmilayo Odukoya made the declaration on Sunday, at the Collation Centre in Lagos.

Thaddeus Attah won with 24,075 votes, beating his counterparts, Mr Olubankole Wellington (Banky W) of the Peoples Democratic Party, who had 18,666 votes, and Mr Babajide Obanikoro of the APC, who had 16, 901 votes.

Professor Odukoya also confirmed that other candidates received the following votes: Mr Oladehin Olufemi, African Democratic Congress, 1,422 votes; Mr Azeez Kabirat of New Nigeria Peoples Party, 414 votes, and Mr Olasunkanmi Ololade, Social Democratic Party, 207 votes.
