Doyin David, a former housemate of Big Brother Naija Season 7, has opened up about the challenges she faced after participating in the popular reality TV show.
Speaking on a recent podcast, Doyin criticized the show’s organisers for the way contestants are portrayed. According to her, the edited narratives often misrepresent their real personalities and leave viewers with false impressions.
The 31-year-old reality star also highlighted the pressure of living in a highly judgmental society like Nigeria, adding that the overall experience was mentally exhausting. She stated that regardless of the financial incentive, she has no interest in participating in any Nigerian reality show again.

Reflecting on her BBNaija journey, she said the experience left a significant emotional toll, but she might consider joining a reality show outside the country if the conditions are different.
She said, “When you go on a reality TV show. They portray you how they want to portray you. Not everything is how you really are, but they’ve given everybody an impression of you, and some of those impressions are not true. There’s a lot that people think about me and think I am, in terms of my personality, that is really not who I am at all.
“Being on a reality TV show, my experience was very challenging mentally, very exposing. I wouldn’t do it again for any amount of money. Except it’s a reality TV show outside the country, then I’ll probably take it. But Nigerians are too judgmental, so no, I’m not blessing them with my presence ever again.”
