Actress Mercy Johnson’s husband, Prince Odianosen Okojie, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Esan North East/South East federal constituency in Edo State, has been declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to the INEC returning officer, Dr. Victor Imade, Prince Okojie emerged as the winner after gathering 21,764 votes to defeat the PDP which scored 10,007, and LP with 11,528 votes.
Reacting to his victory via his social media pages, Mercy Johnson husband appreciated God, his family, and his supporters for trusting in him.

Also in a video clip obtained by NRTC on his Instagram, Prince speaking to newsmen shortly after leaving the collation center, said he was elated, adding that there was no victor and no vanquished.
He said all elections are contested to be won and he was happy to have won a representative seat to represent his people in Abuja.

Mercy Johnson’s husband wrote: “With gratitude to God Almighty, My Family and the support of the good people of AGBAZILO, I was declared the winner of the Election for the Federal House of Representatives. Esan North-East/Esan South-East federal constituency 2023. Thank you for all your support and love. I am sincerely grateful.”
