MTV VMAs 2025: Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande shine as full winners’ list emerges

The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards lit up New York’s UBS Arena on Sunday, September 8, with rapper LL Cool J serving as host for the star-studded ceremony.

Ariana Grande’s “Brighter Days Ahead” secured the night’s top honor, winning Video of the Year. She also left with three trophies overall. Lady Gaga, however, was the evening’s biggest winner, claiming four awards including Artist of the Year.

Sabrina Carpenter also enjoyed a big night, bagging three awards, among them Album of the Year for Short n’ Sweet.

Rosé, in collaboration with Bruno Mars, won Song of the Year with their track “APT..” while KATSEYE took home MTV Push Performance of the Year for “Touch.” Gaga and Mars also scored a win together for Best Collaboration with “Die With a Smile.”

In addition to competitive awards, Mariah Carey received the prestigious Video Vanguard Award. Busta Rhymes was honored with the first-ever Rock the Bells Visionary Award, and Ricky Martin was celebrated with the inaugural Latin Icon Award.
