Head coach of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions Enyimba FC Finidi George has ascribed the club’s defeat to Katsina Utd in the Naija Super 8 to fatigue.
The 2023 NPFL champions recorded a shocking 2-1 loss to the newly promoted side on Tuesday.

“I am sad we are out of Naija Super 8, but at the same time I am happy, we are going home. My players need rest. We are tired”, he said.
It would be recalled that the Aba giants won the NPFL title in June after a Super Six tournament.
Enyimba claimed their ninth Nigeria topflight league title after a commanding performance in the Super Six.
