Naira Abuse: EFCC arrests 3

Operatives of the Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested three individuals for suspected Naira mutilation and abuse.

In a statement on its X page, the EFCC said the suspects were apprehended following credible intelligence on their alleged involvement in Naira abuse.

The suspects, identified as Stanley Ogbolu, 35; Odiaka Sorwu, 42; and Kelvin Anyakwu, 42, were arrested in Asaba, Delta State, during a burial ceremony where they were allegedly spraying Naira notes on a celebrant.

The suspects will be charged in court as soon as the investigations are concluded.
