He tweeted: “Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities.”

News Round The Clock recalls that the controversial musician has debunked allegations that he has a hand in the death of Mohbad, stressing that despite their fallout in 2022, “no harm was wished on him.”

Equally, the controversial musician gained mainstream prominence in 2019 when he spearheaded the infamous, “Marlians” era. The singer-songwriter who is renowned for promoting debauchery and contentious content made a name for himself across the streets of the country and certain parts of Europe, especially the United Kingdom.

Mohbad and Zinoleesky were the first set of artistes who joined his record label, Marlians in the early part of 2020. Though the aforementioned musicians have debuted numerous hits in recent years, the incidents that took place between Mohbad and members of Naira Marley’s camp raised eyebrows.

Until his sudden demise in September 2023, Mohbad cried out on numerous occasions about how he was being threatened, bullied and physically assaulted by Naira Marley’s entourage.
