Netizens have described Nigerian recording artiste, Naira Marley as the major suspect following the sudden demise of 27-year-old singer-songwriter, Mohbad.
Mohbad died on Tuesday, September 12 after reportedly suffering from an ear infection.
The circumstances hovering around the demise of Mohbad has been controversial as the late singer specifically mentioned prior to his death that his former label boss, Naira Marley should be held accountable should anything happen to him.

In a recent interview with Reno Omokri, the controversial musician and record executive, Naira Marley has stated his conditions for him to turn himself in for investigation.
He said he has been out of the country since August 31, 2023, and only found out about Mohbadās death on social media.

He said, āI was out of Nigeria from the 31st of August. Iāve been with my family up till date. I havenāt been to Nigeria [since then] thatās one.
āTwo, He [Mohbad] has left Marlian Music sinceā¦ I donāt know the particular date but since 2022, he has left Marlian Music. Weāve not stopped him from dropping music or anything. He has been working with one PR [firm] or something like that ever since.
āSo, when I heard about his death, it was shocking to me. I was out of the country as well. So, I have to find out what was wrong with him just as much as everybody is trying to find out. So, Iām just finding out what was wrong with him online. Iām seeing all the lies too. But weāve to focus on the fact that: who was he with? How did he die?
āIf youāre blaming me, how did I kill him? I have nothing to do with his death or whatsoever. I was so hurt when I heard that. Iāve nothing whatsoever to do with his death.ā
Naira Marley added: āI am willing to return to Nigeria to answer questions if the police can guarantee my safety.
āI donāt belong to any cult. I donāt know what a cult is. Also, I have been running away from all these people. Iām actually anti-cult.ā
The police have launched an investigation into Mohbadās demise.
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said he has also invited the Department of State Services to join the investigation.
