Fola David, a Nigerian medical doctor and hyper-realism artist has set a new Guinness World Record, GWR, for the largest drawing by an individual.
The Lagos-based visual artist, who aimed to draw 1000 square metres of art that will showcase Nigeriaās diverse cultures, began the six-day attempt on July 16 at Onikan Stadium.

Notable Nigerians who have visited David include the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi; former GWR holder Hilda Baci; and Farooq Oreagba, the businessman who stole the show at the 2024 Ojude Oba Festival, among others.
The management of the College of Medicine University of Lagos, CMUL, also visited David, an alumnus of the college, to show their support.
