Over the last weekend, some Nigerian players continued where they left off with some exciting performances across the leagues in Europe, with some getting on the score sheet while other put up performances that showcased their class.
NRTC brings you the top five Nigerian players performance in Europe at the weekend.
Joe Aribo ā Rangers (Scotland)
Joe Aribo was on the score sheet with an eye-catching goal for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side in their 3-1 victory over Livingston in Sunday’s Premiership encounter.
The Super Eagles midfielder sent the crowd roaring when he curled in a left-footed shot from outside the penalty area to give Rangers a 2-0 lead.
The 25-year-old now has now scored four goals in 14 league appearances this campaign.
Emmanuel Dennis ā Watford (England)
Emmanuel Dennis was another Nigerian player who made history as he became the sixth player in Premier League history to score five goals and provide five assists in his first 12 appearances or fewer.

He joins Premier League legends like Eric Cantona, Arjen Robben, and Jurgen Klinsmann on that illustrious list.
The Nigerian striker reduced the deficit for Watford with the second goal in their 4-2 loss to Leicester City on Sunday and once again, made a strong case for an invitation to the Super Eagles after his solitary cap.
Samuel Chukwueze – Villarreal (Spain)
Samuel Chukwueze scored his first La Liga goal of the season and Villarreal’s only goal in their 3-1 defeat to Barcelona.
The Super Eagles winger came off the bench to finish off an assist from Nigerian-Dutch striker Arnaut Danjuma, in the 76th minute.
Saturdayās effort means Chukwueze has now scored three times in his last four outings against the Camp Nou outfit.
Tom Dele-Bashiru ā Reading (England)
Former youth international, Tom Dele-Bashiru continued his fine goalscoring run in the Championship with his fourth goal of the season on Saturday for Reading against Swansea
Dele-Bashiru inspired Reading’s fight-back at Swansea with his equaliser, a minute after Jamie Paterson opened the scoring in the third minute.
The Royals secured a 3-2 victory and it helped them move out of the relegation zone to the 21st spot on the table.
Ademola Lookman ā Leicester (England)
The Anglo-Nigerian opened his Premier League goal account of the season in Leicester City’s 4-2 triumph over Watford on Sunday.
