Nigerians Replace The Lyrics of Jerusalema; Diss The Original Lyrics

Nigerians do not deny themselves any means to be happy. They do not like to stress themselves at all. They take what they see and hear in the most simplest way and make the most of it.

Jerusalema, a follow up song to Master KG’s Skeleton Move is still trending. This is because some Nigerians have refused to accept the original lyrics of the song.

There is a particular part of the song they prefer to say “master master chin chin” and “Bode Thomas.”

In fact, Bode Thomas has been adopted as the most popular lyrics of that song. It is pertinent to note that Nigerians already know that the lyrics cannot be Bode Thomas since it is not a Nigerian song. But that is how that part of the song sounds like- Bode Thomas. It is the closest words any Nigerian can relate to.

Hence, Bode Thomas is adopted. Bode Thomas is the name of a popular area on Surulere axis. Twitter was agog with the original lyrics of the song recently.

In our typical fashion, we refused to accept the original meaning. Bode Thomas sounded more cool. They argued that although they were aware that the lyrics is not Bode Thomas, they prefer it stays that way.

Hence, the original lyrics should stay with the artist and those who want to sing the song the way it was composed.

Don’t we all love Nigerians? We love ourselves and do not entertain any form of stress. It is good that we do not take things to heart. No matter the disadvantages of that decision, it is also important to note that it has helped many Nigerians to scale through tough times in this country.

In our tough times, a little sense of humour goes a long way in easing the tension of the moment.

What do you all think of this attitude by Nigerians. Share your thoughts.
