Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium to wear new look as renovation begins


Construction materials have started arriving the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium as renovation is set to begin in earnest.

The completion date for the renovation of the Enugu-based stadium, as promised to the people of Enugu state by the executive governor of the state, H.E, Dr. Peter Mbah, has been set at November.

He made this promise while giving the speech to mark his 100 days in office.

Stakeholders and government officials present at the stadium to witness the arrival of materials were assured that more materials would arrive soonest.

Some dignitaries present at the stadium on Tuesday include GM/CEO of Rangers, Barrister Amobi Ezeaku; Enugu State F.A. Secretary, Ugwu Francis; and Enugu state Commissioner for Youth and Sports Barrister Lloyd Ekweremadu.
