Popular Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has expressed joy following the release of her elder brother, Sammy, from prison custody.
According to reports, Sammy was granted bail in the sum of ₦5 million on Monday, November 10, 2025, and was freed after meeting his bail conditions.
Reacting to the news, Regina took to her Instagram story to share a series of emotional posts and videos showing her excitement. She also shared a video call with her brother, expressing deep gratitude for the support she received from fans during the ordeal.
“People love me ooo, I no believe am walai, and that makes me emotional. I love you so much my brother. Nobody go try beat me again. The kind love I have received during this period makes me feel good.

Sammy’s release came after widespread online agitation under the hashtag #FreeSammy, which trended across social media platforms.
He was reportedly arrested and charged in an Abuja court by Regina’s husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, after accusing the lawmaker of domestic abuse during his marital issues with the actress.
While Ned Nwoko denied the allegations, he in turn accused Regina of drug abuse — claims that further fueled public debate and sympathy for the actress’s family.
