During Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusiās reign, she was assigned the role of Jakadiya to the Emir of Kano State. This happened in 2016.
A lot have likened Dasoās acting to that of Patience Ozokwor in that they are usually given the role of the wicked mother in law. Most recently, she was given the role of an influential woman in the Labarina series produced by Aminu Saira. In the series, she does everything possible to stop her nephew from marrying his heartthrob.
In an interview with Blueprint, she said, āHonestly speaking, since the role I played in my first film as a wicked woman, producers no longer give me any other roles than that of a wicked mother, a wicked mother-in-law, or wicked wife.
If you give me a romantic role, or role that I will be gentle, honestly it will not fit me. Itās just like any role other than thug or criminal-minded people will not fit Tijjani Asase or Shuaibu Lawan Kumurci. So, producers know what roles to give a particular artist, and I am happy playing these roles because I do them perfectly well.ā
Some of Dasoās movies include: Shelah, Uwar Kudi, Daham, Ba Tabbas.
Daso has secured her footing in the minds of watchers as most consumers of Kannywood enjoy her acting.
