Ikorodu City FC continued their fine form with a vital 1-0 away victory over Lobi Stars of Makurdi.
The ‘Oga Boys‘ climbed into third spot in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) standings with the win.

Shola Adelani, who has been the most impressive player for the Lagos-based team, scored the match winner. His ninth goal of the season condemned the home side to defeat.

Ikorodu City have overtaken South West neighbours Shooting Stars of Ibadan to third on the log with 44 points. 3SC had suffered a slim defeat to Katsina United.
In another NPFL matches, Rivers United defeated visiting Niger Tornadoes 1-0 to maintain the second spot. Samson Obi scored the only goal of the match with eight mins to the end of regulation time.
Meanwhile, table toppers Remo Stars succumbed to a 2-1 defeat by losing to Bendel Insurance in Benin. Meyiwa Oritseweyinmi scored in either half as Samuel Anakwe’s late goal only served as a consolation.
