Nyesom Wike sacks 21 Heads of FCTA Agencies, Companies


The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has relieved twenty-one (21) heads of parastatals, agencies, and government companies of their duties within the FCT Administration (FCTA).

This move was announced through a statement released by the Director of Press in the Office of the Minister, Anthony Ogunleye.

As part of the decision, Wike also directed the affected appointees to facilitate a seamless transition by handing over the responsibilities of their respective offices to the most senior officers based on rank.

The individuals affected include high-ranking officials such as the Group MD/CEO of Abuja Investment Company Ltd, CEO/MD of Abuja Markets Management Ltd, MD/CEO of Abuja Urban Mass Transport Company, CEO/MD of Abuja Property Development Company, CEO/MD of Abuja Technology Village Free Trade Zone Company, CEO/MD of Abuja Film Village International, CEO/MD of Powernoth AICL Equipment Leasing Company Ltd, MD of Abuja Broadcasting Corporation, MD of Abuja Enterprise Agency, and GM of FCT Water Board.

Others are, the DG of the FCT Emergency Management Agency, the Executive Secretary of the FCT Primary Healthcare Board, the Director-General of the Hospital Management Board, the Director of Abuja Environmental Protection Board, the Director of the FCT Scholarship Board, the Director of the FCT Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, the Director of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, the Coordinator of the Abuja Infrastructure Investment Center, the Director of the FCT Health Insurance Scheme, the Coordinator of the Satellite Towns Development Department, and the Coordinator of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council.

The statement added that new appointments to these positions will be made in due course.
