Former Big Brother Naija Season 9 housemate, Nelly Mbonu, has alleged that fellow contestant Kassia played a key role in the collapse of her friendship with her husband, Kellyrae.
During their time in the BBNaija house, Nelly and Kellyrae maintained a strong connection—one that drew even more attention when it was revealed to the housemates that the two were actually married. However, in the recent reunion episode, Nelly disclosed that the bond between them has since been broken, and she believes Kassia is at the center of it.
Nelly explained that the fallout began when Kassia allegedly lied to her during the show. According to her, Kassia told her Onyeka had said something negative about her—a claim that was later proven false.
“It never once felt like Kellyrae and I had issues,” Nelly stated firmly during the reunion.
Host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu then asked when she first noticed a change in Kellyrae’s behavior.
“Obviously, it’s the wife,” Nelly replied, pointing at Kassia.

A clearly irritated Nelly fired back, “Can you shut up and let me speak? Anyway, like I was saying—the wife clearly had a problem with me in the house. I told Onyeka you said something, and you claimed Onyeka told you. You were so confident about it. But it turns out, it wasn’t even true. You never mentioned it was just your instinct.”
Defending herself, Kassia said, “I said two things, Onyeka said the first one, and the second was just my instinct. Maybe you misunderstood.”
