The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has declared Usman Ododo of the All Progressive Congress (APC) as the winner of Saturday’s (November 11) Kogi State Governorship Election.
Ododo emerged as the winner with 446,237 votes, defeating Social Democratic Party candidate Murtala Ajaka who gathered 259,052 as closest rival while Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic with 46,362 votes.
Ododo was declared the winner by the Returning Officer for the Kogi State governorship election, Prof Johnson Urama on Sunday evening.

Urama stated that Ododo of APC was certified by the law, was declared the winner, and returned elected.
The announcement was coming after INEC said fresh polls will be conducted in some polling units in the Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area of the state on November 18, 2023.
