Ikorodu City Football Club has confirmed Head Coach, Bright Ozebagbe has tendered a resignation letter.
The Lagos-based club officially confirmed the development on Monday afternoon after reports had circulated earlier in the morning about the gaffer’s departure.
According to Sports247, Ozebagbe, who spent only nine months on the job, stated that he didn’t feel happy with the job any longer.

āI donāt feel happy doing my job, not being appreciated, and I just want to get my mental state away from the club and explore other possibilities,ā he told Sports247.
A club statement revealed Ozebagbe tendered his letter of resignation on Sunday night after Ikorodu City FC’s 1-0 loss to Plateau United in Jos in an NPFL matchday 5 encounter.
“Ikorodu City Football Club can confirm the resignation of Bright Ozebagbe as head coach of the team,” the statement read.
“The club received Ozebagbe’s letter of resignation last night after the 1-0 loss to Plateau United in Jos.
“The club will announce a new coach in the coming days.”
Ikorodu City FC have played five games so far in the Nigeria Premier Football League. The team has lost four of those games, while drawing the other one.
